This Refund & Transfer Policy applies to registrations for the Global Assamese Convention 2027, to be held from 31 December 2026 to 2 January 2027 at Assam Down Town University, Guwahati.
1. Registration Confirmation
Registration is confirmed only after successful payment and verification by the organising team. Once confirmed, the registrant will receive registration details through the email address provided during registration.
2. Refund Policy
We understand that personal circumstances may change. If a registered delegate is unable to attend the Convention, they may request a refund by contacting the organising team. A 50% refund of the registration fee may be offered if the delegate is unable to attend. Refund requests must be made in writing by email to: contact@globalassamese.online
The request should include:
Full name of the registered delegate
Email address used for registration
Registration/order reference number, if available
Reason for cancellation
Payment details or any additional information requested by the organising team
3. Transfer of Registration
Instead of requesting a refund, a registered delegate may transfer their registration to another nominated person.

The transfer request should include:
Full name of the original registered delegate
Email address used for registration
Registration/order reference number, if available
Full name of the nominated replacement delegate
Email address and phone/WhatsApp number of the replacement delegate
Any required delegate details for the replacement participant
The transfer will be valid only after confirmation by the organising team.
4. Outdoor Engagement Day
The Convention registration includes participation in the outdoor engagement day planned for 2 January 2027. This day is intended to provide delegates with an opportunity to experience Assam’s natural heritage and to network in a relaxed setting. The outdoor engagement day, including visits to sanctuaries or natural heritage sites, will remain subject to final logistics, permissions, weather, safety considerations, transport arrangements, route feasibility, and delegate numbers. If the outdoor engagement day has to be modified, rescheduled, curtailed, or cancelled due to circumstances beyond the organisers’ control, the organising team will make reasonable efforts to provide an alternative arrangement where feasible. However, such changes will not automatically create a separate entitlement to a refund, as the outdoor day forms part of the overall Convention programme.
5. Processing of Refunds
Approved refunds will be processed through the original payment method where possible. Processing times may depend on the payment gateway, bank, card issuer, or payment service provider.
Any payment gateway charges, bank charges, currency conversion charges, or transaction fees may be deducted where applicable.
6. Non-Attendance Without Notice
If a registered delegate does not attend the Convention and does not contact the organising team in advance, the registration fee will normally not be refunded.
7. Programme Changes
The organisers reserve the right to make changes to the programme, speakers, session titles, timings, outdoor visits, or logistical arrangements as planning progresses or circumstances require. Such changes will not normally constitute grounds for a full refund.
